The OSFF New York 2026 Keynote Lineup Is Set

October 29, 2026

Start your week with a hands-on workshop, before heading into two days of talks with senior leaders and technologists from banking, technology, open source and policy.

The Open Source in Finance Forum (OSFF) New York is just days away. On November 4-5, 900+ leaders from the world’s largest financial institutions, technology providers and open source communities will gather at Convene Brookfield Place to share what’s working, launch what’s next and make the connections that move the industry forward.

Policy meets technology

Congressman Bill Foster, the only PhD physicist in Congress, sits down with Mike Hsu, former Acting Comptroller of the Currency, for a fireside chat on how open source can shape financial regulation and policy as AI transforms the industry.

Banks on the record

The industry’s largest institutions explain why competitors are choosing to build shared infrastructure. Bhupesh Vora (RBC), FINOS Chair, and Dan Bosman (TD Securities & Payments) share their perspectives on the value of open source now and in the future, followed by Rohan Deshpande (Goldman Sachs), FINOS Vice Chair, who opens Day 2.

Securing the software supply chain together

A little over 100 days from its launch and now backed by seven major financial institutions, OSERA (the Open Source Enterprise Resiliency Alliance) will share major progress in securing the critical open source components the industry depends on. Dov Katz (Morgan Stanley), Peter Thomas (Deutsche Bank) and Brian Fox (Sonatype) will discuss how banks are joining forces to secure the software supply chain.

Greg Kroah-Hartman, Linux kernel maintainer and Linux Foundation Fellow, sets the scene on how LLMs are changing open source security, and Brent Holden (Red Hat) covers sustaining the open source commons as AI accelerates both development and vulnerability discovery.

Turning AI governance into working code

Olivier Poupeney (FINOS) and Harish Malavade (Fidelity Investments) show how the industry is turning AI governance policy into working code, from Governance as Code to how Fluxnova supports these controls with human-in-the-loop oversight and AI agent workflows. Michael Lynch (Symphony) shares how Symphony is building a trusted, interoperable agent network for finance with its new Agent Studio, powered by Fluxnova.

New data on open source in finance

Also taking center stage: the launch of the 2026 State of Open Source in Financial Services report. Hilary Carter (The Linux Foundation) and Tosha Ellison (FINOS) will share what the latest research tells us about the industry’s progress, emerging priorities and where we’re headed next, including agentic AI in production, what’s holding it back, and how much the industry depends on, and contributes to, open source. A little teaser: it’s been a year of exceptional growth!

Fluxnova Con kicks off OSFF

One year after launch, the first-ever Fluxnova Con at OSFF opens OSFF on Day 1 with a milestone worth celebrating. Fluxnova, the open source platform for orchestrating business processes and AI agents, has grown remarkably fast in its first year at FINOS.

Hear directly from the people using Fluxnova about how they’re running it, connecting it with other open source projects and building a healthy ecosystem of maintainers and support, with speakers from Fidelity, TD, Symphony, Red Hat, TradeHeader, Summit58, Oracle, Scott Logic, FINOS and more.

News on the day

Jose Plehn, Founder & CEO, BrightQuery, and Rohit de Souza, CEO, MariaDB, take the stage on Day 2 to announce groundbreaking new project contributions to FINOS.

Some of FINOS’ most established and fastest-growing projects also mark major milestones. Between them, these projects keep trading desk applications, and now AI agents, working together (FDC3). They give the industry a common language for trades and turn regulatory reporting rules into code (CDM).

They let banks run AI agents within governed business processes (Fluxnova), and turn system architecture into code that can be checked for compliance automatically (CALM).

This is the plumbing that the industry’s AI future runs on, built in the open by firms that usually compete.

  • FDC3: Rob Moffat (FINOS), Chris Watson (Alpha FMC), Julianna Mealin (interopio) and Peter Smulovics (Morgan Stanley) on FDC3 3.0.
  • CALM: Jim Gough (Morgan Stanley) with a CALM announcement and updates on the rapidly accelerating use cases for CALM.

Pontus Rydin (Broadcom) explains why the platform is the strategy as financial institutions move AI from experimentation to execution.

Celebrating the community

To close the main stage, Gabriele Columbro, Karl Moll (FINOS) and longtime FINOS champion and former Governing Board Chair Kim Prado (StateStreet) reveal the winners of this year’s FINOS Community Awards.

Workshops on November 3

The day before the conference, a full day of hands-on workshops brings maintainers and the community together to shape the future of FINOS projects. Led by maintainers and practitioners from JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, RBC, FINOS and more, the six sessions are:

  • New developer tooling for CDM
  • Open SDLC Controls Framework working session
  • Governed AI with FDC3 Sail
  • Building trusted Kubernetes with Common Cloud Controls
  • Regulation as code: Operationalizing Policy with AI and Morphir
  • Architecture as code with CALM

Seats are capped at 25–35 per room. Save your workshop seat.
