Show Off Your FDC3 Expertise

The Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS) and Linux Foundation Training and Certification have announced the general availability of the new FINOS Certified FDC3 Practitioner (FCFP) certification. The FCFP exam demonstrates understanding of the key design considerations and rationale of the FDC3 standard and a broad knowledge of the FDC3 ecosystem.

The Financial Desktop Connectivity and Collaboration Consortium (FDC3) standards are created and used by leading organizations across the financial industry. FDC3 enhances interoperability between different applications and systems used in financial workflows.

By adhering to FDC3 standards, financial professionals can seamlessly share data, launch applications, and collaborate in real-time, ultimately streamlining their workflows and improving overall productivity in the industry.

Designed for technical business analysts, software developers, and FDC3 implementers in the finance, insurance, banking, and investment industries, the FCFP demonstrates the ability to deploy FDC3 concepts in real-world use cases.

“FINOS Member buy side and sell side financial institutions especially, have asked for formal training and certification around FDC3 for existing employees to add to their learning management systems. Demonstrating understanding and command of the FDC3 standard is increasingly becoming a requirement for prospective employers in our industry, and new talent will be expected to hit the ground running.” said Rob Moffat, FINOS Senior Technical Architect.

"While there is plenty of opportunity for open source IT professionals, it is still a highly competitive job market, especially for the most desirable positions in the financial industry," said Clyde Seepersad, SVP, General Manager, Training & Certification, Linux Foundation, “Earning your FCFP will help your career profile stand out.”
