Our board of directors brings together executives and senior technologists from several of the world's largest banks, financial technology providers and big tech software vendors. Its overaching mission is to establish the general direction of the Foundation in its ongoing efforts to tackle the hardest challenges facing the financial services industry.
Nick is CPO at OpenFin as well as co-founder and chair of the FDC3 and Hadouken programs in FINOS. He has an extensive background in technology and open source leadership and has served in a wide range of roles over the past 20+ years - including development, UX design, and product management. Prior to OpenFin, Nick was a technology director at Thomson Reuters, leading the creation of Eikon App Studio and serving as a key advocate for web and open source technologies on the Eikon platform. He holds a BA in philosophy from Bard College.
Colin Eberhardt is the Technology Director at Scott Logic, a UK-based software consultancy that creates complex applications for financial services clients. Colin is an avid technology enthusiast and prolific technical author and speaker on a range of technologies. Colin has been actively involved in the open source community for more than 15 years and spends his evenings contributing to open source projects, writing blog posts and learning as much as he can.
Pete Towns is the Global Head of Digital, DevOps & Architecture for Global Banking & Markets (GBM) at HSBC. GBM is an emerging markets-led and finance-focused business that provides tailored solutions to major government, corporate and institutional clients in over 60 countries and territories.
In his current role, Pete leads a team of technologists who build, transform and deliver solutions to support Digital Products.
He also runs the Global Markets Client Relationship Management (CRM) & Sales MI platforms; and is responsible for the delivery of Sales Cockpit - a cross-asset dashboard for Sales users, covering pre-trade, execution and post-trade activities.
Prior to this role Pete ran GBM Cash FX IT & GFX eDistribution, in London and APAC GFX & Sales IT in Hong Kong. Before joining HSBC in 2010, he worked at RBS Global Banking & Markets as the Global Head of FX & Money Markets eCommerce IT.
Pete is passionate about building disruptive technology solutions and creating synergy between Technology and Business. He is also involved in curating special development programs for technologists across the globe.
David Jones is Head of DevOps, Open Source and Development Practices at Credit Suisse, based in London. This remit covers a number of strategic themes across technology including DevOps, Open Source, Sustainable Technology and Developer Tools & Services.
David’s group of Technologists delivers solutions and services to the organization covering approximately 35,000 users, including support of the organization’s software delivery pipeline for more than 12,000 applications. The team aims to reduce any friction within software development and delivery.
David joined the bank in 2015 and has been working in the banking industry for over 20 years following a successful military career.
Over the years, David has spent the majority of his time as a software developer, creating systems across most areas of the business with a particular focus on analytics and research. In recent years David has taken his software development experience and moved towards implementing new approaches, tools and practices, covering all areas across the code and development themes.
David studied Aeronautical Engineering at Princess Marina College in Arborfield
