the Future of AI in Highly Regulated INDUSTRIES
As AI advances at an exponential pace fueled by open source innovation, financial institutions are navigating the tension between the AI business imperative and novel challenges like tokenomics, governance in the era of agentic workflows and a new cybersecurity landscape.
Hosted on the day before the flagship Open Source in Finance Forum London 2026, the Open Source AI in Finance Leadership Summit is a closed-door Chatham-house rule gathering designed specifically for FSI Senior technology and AI leaders to benchmark their strategies and identify collaboration opportunities around these challenges.
The Themes
- Balancing Value, Security, and Token Economics: While CEOs push for exponential growth via AI, technology leaders are left balancing the costs and security of token usage, aligning agentic actions to unit economics, and navigating the tension between enablement and restriction. World leading experts like Natalie Daley (Global Head of Cloud Economics & FinOps, HSBC) and Executives from the FinOps Foundation will lead a conversation on what is undeniably one of the most critical C-level concerns.
- Open Source and the agentic future of financial services: as open source continues to eat AI, we're excited to welcome the co-creator of MCP David Soria Parra (Member of the Technical Staff at Anthropic) to share his unique perspective on the open source agentic protocols landscape and crucially help audience identify opportunities for further collaboration across FINOS, AAIF and the Linux Foundation at-large to accelerate agentic use cases in Finance.
- AI, Cybersecurity and Open Source: Project Glasswing has effectively opened a new chapter in open source security. Join Lead maintainer of the Linux Kernel stable branch Greg Kroah-Hartman, one of the few individuals with commercial access to Anthropic's Mythos, as he offers a rare look at the real-life implications of AI on cybersecurity, based on firsthand experience with the most critical open-source project in the world.
THE FORMAT
- Keynotes + Thematic Roundtables: We will convene with peers from financial institutions under the Chatham House Rule. This is a secure space to candidly discuss the common challenges and opportunities you are currently encountering.
