Conformance News: HERE Enterprise Browser 9.0.1 Passes FDC3 2.0 Conformance

January 29, 2026

FINOS is pleased to announce that the HERE Enterprise Browser version 9.0.1 has successfully passed the FDC3 2.0 Conformance Test Suite. Congratulations to Johan Sandersson and the HERE team for achieving this important milestone and contributing to the growing ecosystem of interoperable, standards-based desktop agents.

Advancing Interoperability Across the Enterprise

The FDC3 standard, maintained by FINOS, provides open and vendor-neutral APIs for application interoperability. Conformance ensures that a desktop agent fully meets the requirements for:

  • Context sharing
  • Intents and intent resolution
  • Channels
  • Window and context metadata
  • Standardised app interoperability workflows

A conformant desktop agent gives developers and enterprises the confidence that applications built using FDC3 will behave consistently across all certified platforms.

Being a turnkey application that users can download and use to run any web application, the HERE Platform brings these capabilities to a wide audience beyond traditional finance use cases, demonstrating the continued expansion of FDC3 into broader knowledge-worker environments.

The FDC3 Conformance Program

The FINOS FDC3 Conformance Program was launched to create a trusted way for vendors to validate implementation quality and signal interoperability readiness. Recent certification milestones in the ecosystem include:

  • FDC3 2.0 certifications from institutions like BlackRock and Morgan Stanley
  • Early FDC3 2.0 certifications from framework vendors like HERE (formerly OpenFin) and interop.io (Finsemble, Glue42)
  • Prior certifications under FDC3 1.2
  • Ongoing industry adoption across buy-side, sell-side, and vendor communities

The many successful certifications under FDC3 2.0 underscores the momentum behind this version of the standard and its growing role in enabling cross-application workflows.

Benefits for Developers and Enterprises

With HERE now conformant:

  • Enterprises have an additional certified option when selecting desktop-agent technology to support interoperability strategies.
  • The wider ecosystem benefits from increasing alignment around open standards, reducing integration complexity and avoiding vendor lock-in.
  • Developers gain a reliable standards-based environment to build FDC3 applications with consistent cross-platform behaviour.

A Strong Step Forward for the FDC3 Ecosystem

FINOS congratulates the HERE team on achieving FDC3 2.0 conformance and thanks them for their commitment to open standards and ecosystem collaboration. As adoption continues to grow across industries, conformance plays a critical role in ensuring trustworthy, interoperable implementations that accelerate digital transformation.
