2018-12-05 Open Source in Fintech Event - December

Written by Aaron Griswold | Aug 1, 2018 4:04:50 AM
Join us at 6pm, on December 5, 2018 for the next meeting in our Open Source in FinTech event series in New York City.

Topic: Open source enabling desktop interoperability
This meetup will start with a presentation from FINOS member IHS Markit highlighting recent development leveraging open source to further streamline trade break resolution between counterparties. We’ll then discuss/review recently proposed standards in the FINOS FDC3 program, which aims to advance desktop application interop in a plug-and-play fashion. These standards address common challenges, such as discovering applications (app directory) and how to pass information in the most efficient and streamlined manner (context and intents). Join our SMEs as we walkthrough the standards and how they can be used by a wide range of financial services firms.

The event will be hosted at IHS Markit, 450 West 33rd, 5th Floor New York, NY 10001. Doors open at 6:00pm with the program starting at approximately 6:15 pm with time for networking following presentations/discussions.
