OSFF TORONTO SPECIAL SECTION
🍁 OSFF Toronto 2026 Spotlight: The Hands-On Workshops
The Open Source in Finance Forum isn't just about what happens on the main stage on Tuesday. Surrounding the conference - on Monday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 15th - we are hosting a series of focused, highly interactive technical workshops.
Because we are an open-source community, we thrive on active collaboration. These are not passive lectures; they are roll-up-your-sleeves, laptops-open working sessions. To ensure a high-quality, hands-on environment, each room is strictly limited to 40 participants. Whether you are a Chief Risk Officer trying to map AI to OSFI guidelines, or a DevOps lead automating compliance, these sessions are designed to solve specific, highly regulated engineering bottlenecks together.
Find your track and apply for a seat:
For the "Gatekeepers" (Security, Infra, & DevOps):
- GitProxy Secure Gateway Workshop: Led by Elspeth Minty and Thomas Cooper (RBC). Deploy a "Smart Airlock" that gives developers seamless open-source access without triggering InfoSec alarms. [Apply Here]
- Open SDLC Controls Framework: Led by George Kichukov (GitLab) and Michael Long (Kosli). Stop trading velocity for compliance. Learn how to define "Controls as Code" for internal audit. [Apply Here]
- Common Cloud Controls (CCC): Led by Maxime Coquerel (RBC) and Eddie Knight (Sonatype). Move from manual spreadsheets to policy-as-code for secure, multi-cloud architecture. [Apply Here]
For the "Guardians" (Risk, Legal, & Compliance):
- AI Governance Framework Training: An executive-level session for Model Risk and Data Ethics leaders to operationalize safe, compliant Generative AI deployments. [Apply Here]
For the "Builders" (Data Architects, Quants, & Platform Leads):
- HPC Grid Using Cloud Native Services: Led by AWS. Break the capacity ceiling of legacy on-prem compute grids with infinitely scalable, low-latency task scheduling. [Apply Here]
- Unlocking the FINOS CDM: Led by TradeHeader. A hands-on Java session to standardize post-trade derivatives data and end manual trade reconciliation. [Apply Here]
- Fluxnova Developer Experience Deep Dive: Led by Ryan Johnston (Summit58). Architect the next generation of financial workflow automation and orchestrate deterministic Agentic AI. [Apply Here]
Space is strictly limited. These sessions require technical or domain alignment to ensure high-quality collaboration, so please submit your applications early!
