We’re now just 2 Days away from the FINOS Q1 All Community Call. Remember to register now for the FINOS All Community Call taking place on Wednesday 2nd February at 11am ET / 4pm GMT to hear Gabriele Columbro, FINOS Executive Director, update the FINOS Community on outcomes from the Q1 FINOS Board Meeting, alongside FINOS Project and SIG updates from the following FINOS open source maintainers and contributors:

 

Remember today, Monday 31st January 2022, is the closing date for comments and feedback for the proposed FINOS Technical Steering Committee. FINOS is inviting you to review and submit your feedback by commenting on the TSC GitHub Issue in the FINOS Community repo.

    • 9am ET / 2pm GMT. Waltz Working Group : Charming Waltz with Juju
      • Juju is a hybrid-cloud application management and orchestration system for installation and day two operations. Join Waltz as the project moves forward with Juju and Charms development and integration.

    • 10am ET / 2pm GMT. Open Source Readiness SIG
      • The purpose of the OSR SIG is to accelerate financial services firms’ journeys toward open source readiness. The concrete goals of the SIG are to 1) advance the readiness of participants’ firms and 2) to provide guidance for the broader industry in the form of white papers, presentations, and blog posts.

    • 11am ET / 4pm GMT. February 2nd. FINOS Q1 All Community Call 
      • Join FINOS for our 2022 Q1 All Community Call to hear about the direction of FINOS in 2022 along with key focus areas. Some of the items we’ll be covering include:
        • Feedback from the Q1 FINOS Governing Board meeting
        • 2022 focus areas, initiatives, and events
        • Project and community updates and plans

 

Thursday, February 3rd

  • 10am ET / 3pm GMT. FDC3 Context Data & Intents Discussion Group
    • At the FDC3 Use Cases Roundtable London, October 5th 2021 participants agreed that the FDC3 lexicon needs to be expanded, both with additional intents and context types to support Use Cases, but also to include more primitive data types in order to construct complex types. A number of participants also agreed that now is an appropriate time to expand the Lexicon.
    • This group is being convened to discuss and arrange work to contribute further Context types and Intents to support Use Cases being implemented by participants.

    • February 2nd. FINOS Q1 All Community Call 
      • Join FINOS for our 2022 Q1 All Community Call on February 2nd at 11am ET / 4pm GMT to hear about the direction of FINOS in 2022 along with key focus areas. Some of the items we’ll be covering include:
        • Feedback from the Q1 FINOS Governing Board meeting
        • 2022 focus areas, initiatives, and events
        • Project and community updates and plans
    • February 4th. The EU Open Source Policy Summit 
      • Join on 4 February 2022 the annual EU Open Source Policy Summit. This conference will happen both in person in Brussels and online. This year’s agenda will be packed with discussions on the most burning digital policy questions and will put open source in a broader European and global technological context.
