If you thought your email filters had finally won, think again.
It has been a while since our last FINOS community newsletter, but the inbox silence did not mean the community was quiet. Quite the opposite. Across FINOS, members, maintainers, contributors, and partners have been busy building the open source infrastructure that the financial services industry increasingly depends on.
A message from our Executive Director, Gabriele Columbro:
It’s hard to believe our last newsletter came on the heels of Deepseek shocking the technology and geopolitical landscape, and the global markets with it. In the era of agentic (and open source) AI, this is indeed seems like years ago. But our community is stepping up to the task: on the tech risk side, the AI Governance Framework is sailing towards its 1.0, while Common Cloud Controls accelerates its pace of releases as undeniably it has hit a huge pain point of the industry. The flywheels of adoption and contribution of FDC3 and CDM are spinning faster, as the industry realizes truly open APIs and data are not only the glue for interoperability but the fuel for the agentic future.
