FINOS FRIDAY UPDATE NEWSLETTER

19 JUNE 20

While diversity remains a huge issue in technology, Open Source has the potential to provide a level playing field for any individual who wants to grow. At FINOS we work to ensure that transparency, meritocracy and openness, the hallmarks of Open Source, continue to permeate all we do. But let's be clear: it's not enough to sit back and wait for change to happen. With this Juneteenth update we'd like to recognize that in the world, like in Open Source, we all need to take matters into our own hands to make change happen.

Citi, Deutsche Bank, ChartIQ Lead Latest Round of Contributions to FINOS

As the financial services industry continues to embrace collaborative open source projects to keep pace with rapid technological change, FINOS announced on June 17th, three new contributions: Citi Synthetic DataHub, Waltz from Deutsche Bank, and Secure Electron Adapter (SEA) from ChartIQ. The new projects represent diverse solutions to solving common software problems, large and small.

All Community call & FINOS IN THE NEWS

The replay from our FINOS Q2 “All Community Call” is now available. Several Community leaders joined us to share exciting news and progress on FINOS projects. The FINOS team also covered H1 highlights, strategic initiatives and governance updates. This is a great way to learn about what's happening in the Foundation and how to get involved.

We're excited that FINOS was featured twice in Waters Technology this week covering our new FinReg Initiative and the pivotal role of Open Source in financial services in light of COVID-19.
