Normally, the OSR blog is all about, well, Open Source.  But today I’m going to share some activity from our sister FINOS group, the InnerSource SIG.

There’s a fair degree of overlap between InnerSource and open source already and in 2024 they’ll become even closer as we work to combine all the materials into a single website, making it easier to find what you’re looking for. 

So, what have the InnerSource SIG been up to lately?

InnerSource Summit 2023

Back in November 2023, Brittany Istenes (Fannie Mae) presented a companion talk at the ISC Fall Summit, where she shared what a strong SIG looks like and how enterprises can harness this knowledge to take InnerSource to the next level. Brittany also spoke to how the FINOS InnerSource special interest group is working together within the ISC to revolutionize how FINTECH enterprises collaborate, innovate and develop a frictionless technology landscape. This talk will be published soon.

InnerSource License Generator

Chamindra de Silva (Citi) presented at the recent InnerSource Summit 2023 about the InnerSource license generator, which is a FINOS-Labs project being built under his guidance at the moment.
