This year at FINOS we are focusing on one of FINOS' key existing projects: [Open Source Readiness](https://www.finos.org/open-source-readiness). This is FINOS' term for helping the finance industry "do open source properly". 

Hello everyone, welcome to another weekly Open Source Readiness blog update! A couple of dates for your diary:

1. OSR SIG Meeting - this is happening on Wednesday 2pm UK time / 9am EST. We’ll probably be talking about **training required for open source contributions**, at least in part.  The agenda is still up for grabs so let me know if there’s a pressing open source topic you want to talk about! 2. FINOS Open House (open to everyone) - this is being held at JP Morgan’s Embankment offices on **14th June** and will include a presentation on the [Body Of Knowledge](https://osr.finos.org/docs/bok/Body-Of-Knowledge)and why we need one for open source in finance. 3. The following day, **15th June,** FINOS Members Meeting at the same location. We have a number of Open Source Readiness related talks and discussions going on so if you’re working for a [FINOS member firm](https://www.finos.org/members) you should come and make yourself heard. In the meantime, we’ve finished merging [Community Engagement](https://osr.finos.org/docs/bok/Activities/Level-3/Community-Engagement), [Training](https://osr.finos.org/docs/bok/Activities/Level-2/Training) and [Maintaining OSS Based Projects](https://osr.finos.org/docs/bok/Activities/Level-4/Maintaining-A-Project) into the Body of Knowledge. Grab a cup of tea and a biscuit and check out those links!
