# Community Highlight: Marketing Intern at FINOS

It's with great enthusiasm that I step into my role as a Marketing Intern here at FINOS. My name is Ashley Tarsillo, and I'm thrilled to be part of a company that's at the forefront of innovation in the financial technology sector.

As a recent college graduate, I am excited to bring a blend of fresh perspectives and a hunger to learn and contribute to the innovative initiatives here at FINOS. Over the past few months, I learned a great deal from my peers and strengthen my knowledge and understanding of marketing.

Why FINOS?

As someone who believes in the power of collaboration, I see FINOS as the perfect environment to not only apply my marketing skills but also to learn and grow alongside like-minded individuals. I believe this position is ideal because it allows me to work with varied teams, contribute to important initiatives, and build practical experience in the fast-paced finance and technology industries.

Lessons Learned

Throughout my time here, I've been immersed in a dynamic learning environment where every task is an opportunity for growth. Reflecting on my experiences thus far, one lesson stands out prominently: the power of practical application and hands-on learning.

So far I have had the chance to create engaging blog posts, organize content effectively, and use editing software. With the help of my peers, I have developed new skills I can use in the future.

I've gained a deeper understanding of the open-source world, witnessing firsthand its collaborative spirit and the transformative power of community-driven innovation. I'm proud to be part of this team, and I'm looking forward to learning more in the future!
